*Reisen nods at that... before suddenly shooting forward with practiced movements while aiming a chop towards Li's throat; attempting a sort of knock out blow or something, i'unno... it's clearly military training. She's being careful to not leave herself open.*

Well, military training is all well and good!

...except when we're dealing with kung fu, anyway. Li spirals away, grabbing at the fist and countering with a powerful blow all her own. We'd describe it if the mun wasn't more familiar with karate than kung fu.

*Reisen mostly deflects the punch with her free hand, but winces a bit as she takes some of the blow. Now that she's in close, the moon rabbit attempts to grab Li's wrist to get her into some kind of CQC hold.*

Li quickly jerks her hand away, opting to spiral around, aiming for a kick to the back. Speed has always been her strongest point, and it's fairly obvious.

Ya got beginner skills, but you're still way the fuck too slow!

Yeah, which is all well and good, I suppose. But when someone's in your face, you wanna get in their face right back. And, hell, if th' other person's usin' long range shit, they sure as hell are gonna have a delay when you're suddenly all up in their shit.

And Li is, indeed, suddenly in Reisen's face. A low kick followed by a series of punches.

*Reisen surprisingly manages to fend off the first five or so blows, but it soon starts to become obvious that she can't keep up with Li's attacks... not unless she wants to 'cheat' and use her powers, anyway, because an optic blast would certainly give her the advantage...*

Li finally finishes things, circling around and finally throwing Reisen to the ground with a blow that launches her a bit of a distance. She moves back, waiting to see if Reisen's still got any energy left in her.

Not bad, but I can definitely tell yer used to distance fightin'. When's the last time you had to get in close t' someone? You move like you got a wee bit more time to move than you actually got.
